PhillyWine Enrollment Terms

Thank you for choosing PhillyWine LLC ("PhillyWine"). We are committed to providing an exceptional educational experience. These Enrollment Terms govern your registration for all PhillyWine courses unless otherwise stated on an individual course page.By registering for a course, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Enrollment Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any course-specific policies published on the applicable registration page.
1. Registration & Payment
Enrollment is confirmed only after payment has been successfully received.Payment is due at the time of registration unless an approved installment payment option is offered for your course.For courses with installment plans, enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of the first payment. However, all scheduled payments must remain current. PhillyWine reserves the right to withhold study materials, examination registration, examination results, or certificates until all outstanding balances have been paid.Course fees include only those items specifically listed on the applicable course registration page.
2. Study Materials
Study materials are distributed according to the course level.Level 1 Award: Materials are provided on the first day of class.Levels 2 & 3 Awards: Materials are shipped after enrollment has been confirmed.Diploma: Digital course materials are provided after enrollment has been confirmed.Students are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address. Replacement shipments resulting from incorrect addresses or failed deliveries may incur additional shipping charges.
3. Refunds, Cancellations & Credits
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to admin@phillywine.com.Refund, cancellation, and transfer policies may vary by course. By enrolling, students agree to the refund policy published on the applicable course registration page.
Refund Eligibility
Unless otherwise stated on the course page, cancellations received at least 15 business days before the scheduled course start date are eligible for a refund less:Any non-refundable depositStudy materials that have already been issued or shippedShipping and handling chargesGlassware (when applicable)Any other applicable enrollment costsApproved refunds are generally processed within fourteen (14) days.
After the Refund Deadline
Cancellations received fewer than 15 business days before the course start date are not eligible for a refund.No refunds will be issued after this deadline except where required by law or where PhillyWine, in its sole discretion, approves an exception.Examples include, but are not limited to:IllnessScheduling conflictsTravel disruptionsWork or family obligationsFailure to attendAny other personal circumstance
No-Shows
Students who fail to attend a scheduled class or examination without prior approved arrangements forfeit all tuition and examination fees.
Credits & Transfers
At PhillyWine's sole discretion, students may be offered:a transfer to another course;a transfer to another examination date (where permitted); orcourse credit.Transfers:must be requested at least 15 business days before the scheduled course or examination;are subject to availability;may not be carried into a future academic year (academic year ends July 31);may incur administrative, examination, replacement material, or shipping fees.Diploma examination transfers are subject to separate registration deadlines.
4. Course Changes by PhillyWine
PhillyWine reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, relocate, substitute instructors, or cancel a course due to insufficient enrollment, instructor illness, venue availability, weather, or other operational circumstances.If PhillyWine cancels a course, students may choose either:transfer to another available course; orreceive a full refund of tuition paid.PhillyWine is not responsible for airfare, lodging, travel expenses, lost wages, or other incidental or consequential costs resulting from course changes or cancellations.
5. Examinations
Students are responsible for understanding the examination requirements for their qualification.Students must:be registered for the applicable course;present valid government-issued photo identification on examination day;comply with all WSET and PhillyWine examination policies.Late examination registrations, transfers, cancellations, or no-shows may result in additional fees.Unless otherwise stated, examinations should be completed within one year of course completion.
6. Resit Examinations
Students who do not successfully complete an examination may apply for a resit in accordance with current WSET and PhillyWine policies.Applicable examination fees apply.Where permitted by the qualification:individual examination components may be resat;some qualifications require both theory and tasting examinations to be repeated.
7. Accessibility & Reasonable Adjustments
PhillyWine is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment.Students requiring reasonable adjustments or special examination accommodations should contact us as early as possible at admin@phillywine.com.Requests are evaluated individually in accordance with current WSET policies.
8. Online Courses
Students enrolled in online courses are responsible for ensuring they have reliable internet access and appropriate technology.For Level 3 online courses, tasting tutorial reservations must be made by the published deadline.
9. Health & Safety
PhillyWine promotes responsible alcohol consumption and encourages students to spit wines during tasting exercises.Students should notify PhillyWine before the course if they:have allergies or medical conditions that may affect participation;are pregnant;are taking medications incompatible with alcohol;are under the legal drinking age;choose not to consume alcohol for religious or personal reasons.Students unable to complete required tasting assessments may be ineligible to receive certain qualifications.
10. Student Conduct
Students are expected to contribute to a respectful and professional learning environment.PhillyWine reserves the right to remove any student without refund for conduct including, but not limited to:disruptive behavior;harassment;discrimination;verbal abuse;physical aggression;threatening conduct;academic dishonesty; orbehavior that interferes with instruction or the learning experience of others.Students are responsible for any damage caused to classroom facilities, equipment, glassware, wines, or course materials.
11. Personal Property & Liability
Students are responsible for their personal belongings while attending PhillyWine courses or events.PhillyWine is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.To the fullest extent permitted by law, PhillyWine's liability arising from participation in any course or event is limited to the tuition paid for that course.
12. Privacy
Student information is collected solely for course administration, examination registration, certificate processing, shipment of study materials, and related educational services.Information is handled in accordance with the PhillyWine Privacy Policy and shared only with WSET Awards and service providers when necessary to administer your qualification.
13. Governing Law
These Enrollment Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
14. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for a PhillyWine course, students confirm that:the information provided during registration is accurate and complete;they have read and agree to these Enrollment Terms;they have reviewed the PhillyWine Privacy Policy; andthey understand that these Enrollment Terms govern their enrollment with PhillyWine LLC.PhillyWine reserves the right to refuse or cancel enrollment if false or misleading information is provided during registration.
