ABOUT NICOLE RAMIREZ

I have been working in hospitality since I was 16 years old doing everything from catering to floor sommelier.

I grew up in Chicago but my interest in wine started when I lived in Seattle Washington where I worked at a tasting room focused on PNW wines. This is also where my WSET journey began.

I’ve worked in a Spanish/Portuguese Michelin restaurant in Chicago, where my love for Iberian wines sprouted and after, was asked to be apart of the opening team for a restaurant Alpana, working alongside Master Sommelier Alpana Singh who I can proudly say is still a close friend and mentor to me.

I have lived in Philadelphia for about 2 years now where I was previously the floor sommelier for a three location restaurant group. I am currently working in a bottle retail shop in Chestnut Hill, as well as doing what I truly love, which is teaching at PhillyWine!

I obtained my levels 1-3 with WSET and am also a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
